Founded in 2013 by Giordano Riello, Davide Ambrosio, and Carlo Ranalletta Felluga, NPlus has evolved from a startup into a national leader in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). Headquartered in Rovereto at Trentino Sviluppo’s Mechatronics Hub since 2016, the company has developed advanced sensor systems that remotely monitor the structural integrity of bridges, viaducts, and cultural landmarks.
With revenues rising from €2.8 million in 2020 to over €16 million in 2024, NPlus is now preparing for international expansion across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the UAE. Its proprietary system, SHM Vittorio, uses chains of sensors – mainly accelerometers and inclinometers – combined with AI algorithms to detect structural anomalies and anticipate damage before it becomes critical.
Currently, NPlus monitors 850 bridges for Anas, and its clients include major motorway operators such as Pedemontana Lombarda, A4, and Brenner Highway. The company employs 50 specialists, including civil, IT, mechanical, and electronics engineers.
According to President Giordano Riello, NPlus is a purpose-driven business that sees profit as a means to generate shared value. Safe infrastructure, he noted, not only saves lives but also boosts national growth.
