Kimbo, one of Italy’s leading coffee companies, closed 2025 with significantly improved financial results, demonstrating resilience and growth despite ongoing volatility in global commodity markets and rising raw material costs.
The Naples-based coffee producer approved its 2025 financial statements, highlighting substantial progress across key economic and financial indicators. Total sales exceeded €300 million, representing a 32.8% increase compared to 2024 and confirming the effectiveness of the company’s growth strategy in both domestic and international markets. Profitability also showed remarkable improvement. EBITDA reached €15.8 million, more than doubling from €7 million in the previous year, while EBIT rose to €10.7 million, compared with €2.3 million in 2024. These results were achieved despite a sharp increase in coffee bean costs, which generated an additional impact of more than €150 million, equivalent to a 46% rise in raw material expenses. The company attributed its stronger margins to enhanced operational efficiency, a more effective product mix, and careful cost management initiatives. At the same time, Kimbo continued to strengthen its financial position, reducing net financial debt from €18.1 million to €5.3 million. International markets played an increasingly important role in the company’s performance. Overseas sales grew by 46% during the year and now account for 27% of total revenue, reflecting the success of Kimbo’s international expansion strategy and the growing recognition of the brand beyond Italy. According to Gerardo Evangelista, Business Analyst and Sales Performance Supervisor at Kimbo and a member of the third generation of the Rubino family, the results mark an important milestone in the company’s transformation journey. He emphasized that innovation, strategic vision, and sustainable profitability have become key drivers of growth while preserving the values that have always defined the business.
Luca Amabile, shareholder and Industrial Controller at Kimbo, noted that the coffee industry has faced significant challenges over the past three years, including rising commodity prices, market volatility, and pressure on margins. In this context, he said, the company’s renewed governance structure has enabled Kimbo to fully leverage its distinctive positioning, combining authentic Neapolitan coffee tradition with an increasingly international outlook. Mario Rubino, Chairman of Kimbo, described the 2025 results as exceeding expectations. He credited the company’s success to the commitment of its employees and the willingness of the organization to embrace change and innovation while remaining faithful to its longstanding focus on quality and consumer trust.
Looking ahead, Kimbo plans to continue pursuing profitable growth and further expand its international presence. The company aims to build on its strong heritage and coffee expertise while investing in innovation and strengthening its competitiveness in global markets, ensuring that quality and tradition remain at the heart of its future development.
