Smartphone and Nokia: it’s real!

Two new Nokia prototypes are good to go: the historic Finnish telephony and telecommunications brand, now held by Hmd Global, presents the Nokia 2.4 and the Nokia 3.4, two new smartphones that will be available starting from mid of October.

Nokia 2.4 has a 6.5-inch display, HD+ resolution and a notch, equipped with a 5 megapixel front camera. On the body, there is the long-awaited fingerprint reader, never seen on any of the company’s devices. The processor is a MediaTek Helio P22, with 2 or 3 GB Ram and a 32 or 64 GB expandable internal memory. The battery is 4,500 mAh and lasts up to two days. The smartphone will be available in the colours Dusk, Fjord and Charcoal at a cost of about 160 euros.

Nokia 3.4 instead, features a 6.39-inch HD+ screen with a hole for the 8mp selfie camera. In the back, the fingerprint reader and three lenses inserted in a circular module: the main with 13 megapixel, 2 mp depth sensor and 5 mp ultra wide angle. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460, with 3 or 4 GB Ram and a 32 or 64 GB expandable memory. The battery is 4 thousand mAh and also in this case it promises to last two days. Nokia 3.4 will also be available in the colours Fjord, Dusk and Charcoal, at a starting price of about 180 euros.

Could this be the dawn of a new era for Nokia, finally? This question cannot be answered with certainty. What is certain, however, is that there is a clear feeling that the modest price of these two smartphone models and, at the same time, the high quality of accessories could create a very attractive combination for users.
