Attilio Mazzilli (Orrick) collaborates with Healthware Group in the establishment of VITA

The official launch of VITA, a new acceleration program by CDP Venture Capital, marked a significant milestone. The initiative was facilitated through the Acceleratori Fund, established by Healthware Group in collaboration with the Danish accelerator Accelerace, renowned for its expertise in seed investments. Healthware received valuable support from the accomplished team at the global law firm Orrick, led by Corporate Partner Attilio Mazzilli. On the other hand, CDP Venture Capital received assistance from Helix.

The significance of digital technologies in the healthcare and personal care sector is continuously growing, with tremendous potential for advancements. With this in mind, VITA has a clear objective of providing comprehensive support to startups with exceptional potential operating in the digital health sector, particularly focusing on innovative solutions for healthcare’s digital transformation. The program places specific emphasis on areas such as respiratory diseases, women’s health, rare diseases, chronic pain, and ophthalmology, acknowledging their criticality and the potential for transformative solutions.

VITA is the result of a collaboration with the team led by Attilio Mazzilli, and begins with a substantial investment of 6.35 million euros for both the acceleration phase and subsequent growth. Out of this funding, 4.55 million euros are provided by the Acceleratori Fund of CDP Venture Capital SGR in partnership with Healthware Group and Accelerance. Additionally, corporate partners of the program have allocated an additional 1.8 million euros to support the initiative.
